Citizens and companies can schedule appointments with the Hessian justice system online. The basis for this is the online appointment booking solution from publicplan.
Via terminvereinbarung-justiz.hessen.de, appointments for services such as inheritance planning, advisory assistance or the administration of wills can be made easily and online at 30 local courts, a regional court and a correctional facility.

The implementation of online appointment scheduling (OTV) in Hesse started at the beginning of 2022. It was based on the solution for appointment scheduling already implemented for the judiciary in North Rhine-Westphalia as a so-called subsequent use in the context of one-for-all services (EfA). OTV was developed for use in Hesse as part of the “Digital Administration Hesse” program. OTV is hosted on-premise by the Hessian Central Office for Data Processing (HZD).
A special further development of the Hessian online appointment scheduling system is the option to store individual availabilities.
This innovative availability logic enables clerks to define services that they can perform from home instead of only performing them on site at the office.
This has made it possible to plan availabilities much more flexibly, while also optimizing support times for citizens.
